If you know me in real life, you know my first love is not fashion; nor is it $tealing. In fact, it is French. We met my freshman year in high school and boy did I fall hard. I proudly wore an Eiffel Tower, Fleur de Lis or French phrase at least once a week. You’d think I would learn from my mistakes, but fast forward ten years and I’m at it again. Some things never change…
Naturally, when I saw this Oh la la sweatshirt by Zoe Karssen ($160), I got the “have to have it” twitch. Too bad it goes against my beliefs of paying dumb money for clothing, huh? WRONG! I put my DIY powers to work and…Voilá!
Supplies: Colored cotton sweatshirt, Clorox Bleach Pen
- 1. Place a piece of cardboard or magazine inside the sweatshirt so you are only writing on one side
- 2. Slowly, one letter at a time, write the phrase of your choice
**I highly suggest allowing each letter to dry before you begin the next because the pens bleed and letters become illegible
Outfit Details: Sweatshirt, Urban Outfitters, $10 / Striped Tank, H&M, $6 / Boyfriend Jeans, Forever 21, Gift /Sandals, Target, $15 / Heart Necklace, Forever 21, $2 / Watch, Urban Outfitters, $20
